I have two new toys!
For Christmas, Mr. LQ got me an Accuquilt Go! I have been really enjoying it. I did a number of the Grand Illusion pieces on it, and have been happily cutting up scraps. I have scraps coming out the wazzoo, so I can keep this up for a long time. I'm mostly cutting 2 1/2" squares and 2 1/2" HSTs (Half Square Triangles). At some point these will start going together for a scrappy quilt. Maybe a Leaders and Enders method? But I need to get more variety ready.
The other new thing I have is this:
Hard to see, I know. It is an Eyebrow Trimmer. There were three in the package. There is a "wire wrapped blade" that makes short work of taking out stitches. I've been using it today to snip apart the chain-pieced parts when I'm at the ironing board. Really quick. Supposed to be good for ripping out stitches too.
I saw a video Bonnie Hunter posted on her blog. Bought these on Amazon. Couldn't find them in Wal Mart. Didn't know where to look.
