Winter

It has turned into Winter. I don't like winter. Bah Humbug!

On Friday we had our first ice on the lake

It was melted by mid-day. I could live with that. But today.....

From approximately the same spot. It's still coming down,

I took Trixie out for a walk. It's below freezing, and big globs of snow coming down. We walked for almost 3 miles. She enjoys snow. (silly dog) I fell once, slid on a small incline, on the tire tracks. We almost got plastered to a car too. Some guy came barrelling out of his driveway backwards, without looking. Since he only was a short distance up his drive, I didn't even have a chance to hear him until he was almost on top of us. He did stop and apologize very profusely. Lesson learned for me: when I walk near there, give that house wide berth.

Thanks,
Lin

be careful walking in the snow - do you have a pair of Yak-Treks for your shoes? they keep you from slipping! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009LJAYJS/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687502&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001CZJBKC&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0TPP3QM00DBR2YWXR21H
I got some about 2 years ago and they work!

Sorry to hear about the guy driving so fast down his driveway. We have a neighbor like that, too. Wide berth is definitely the safer way to go...

Some people just cannot remember how to drive in inclement weather! Glad you were ok though. But yes, definitely give him a wide berth!!!

That is crazy to see that much snow in November. It is supposed to be below freezing tomorrow morning which is really cold for South Carolina.
