Here's my new flimsy.
It's called Ribbon Rings from Quilt Moments. I started it last winter in Florida, and just kept plugging along on it. I remember I couldn't decide on the layout, so I did put it aside for a while. Now I find I have enough blocks for two (!) lap quilts, or one queen size. I don't really need six or seven quilts on each bed, so I am making two lap size. This is great, since my goal is to give a quilt to each of the women in our family for Christmas.
I see a feather wreath in each of those white spaces, and ditch-stitch the eights.
The "sister" quilt I made a mistake in putting the blocks together. That's today's job. Then you can see pictures of them together.
Thanks,
Lin

Ever So Busy
I have been working on quilting Grand Illusion. So far I've gotten the Stitch in the Ditching done. It goes slowly. I'm doing ruler work, and handling it much better than before I took the HQ classes.
For a change of pace, I've been piecing this top:
It's called Ribbon Rings by Quilt Moments, and the fabric is Hubba Hubba from Me & My Sister Designs from Moda. I think the figure eights are interesting because it depends on the color value which part is dominant. A good example of color value.
I may play with the lay out:
See the two circles that are all turquoise? When I add in all the figure eights, I can totally do that! I don't think I have even half the eights on this design wall. Not enough room, and I have a lot more to do. Just needed a break from FMQing (Free Motion Quilting). Now I can understand the people who switch back and forth with different projects in one day. I generally like to complete one whole project before I start another.
Thanks,
Lin

Slacker!
I've been such a slacker! I haven't posted in so long.
So sorry.
I have been doing quilty things tho! Does that win me back any points?
I laid this little baby out:
It's called Ribbon Rings from Quilt Moments. I have no idea what the fabric is. I pieced it last winter in Florida. I'm trying to get things ready to go this year, and found it in a pile. Guess I better finish stuff before I start new? Ah----no.
I have lots more pieces in my storage box, so this will be a good size quilt.
Thanks,
Lin
